Welcome to the 3rd RAML Conference
with International Participation
27-30 June, Iaşi, Romania

    Dear Collegue,

    On behalf of the Organizing Committee I am honoured and pleased to invite you to attend the 3rd Conference of the Romanian Association of Medical Laboratories (RAML) with International Participation, which will be held in Iaşi between 27th and 30th June 2007. The Conference will be held under the auspices of The International Federation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (IFCC).
    Iaşi is one of those cities which have a real vocation for history. It is considered a genuine cradle of Romanian culture. Iaşi is home to the oldest Romanian university (University "Alexandru Ioan Cuza"). The city is host to five universities, and is widely regarded as the cultural "heart" of Romania. Iaşi is an outstanding educational centre and preserves some beautiful pieces of architecture, such as the Trei Ierarhi, Golia and Cetăţuia Churches and the neo-Gothic Palace of Culture. Apart from a wealth of picturesque historic sites, the city prides itself on a swinging night life, shopping centers, international "haute cuisine" and numerous art galleries and museums. Equally important, Iaşi has a hospitable citizenry who enjoy meeting people from abroad.
    The programme of the Conference will provide state of the art scientific developments in the field of laboratory medicine and will include plenary sessions according to various topics from the field of clinical biochemistry, haemathology, immunology and microbiology. Invited keynote speakers will participate in plenary sessions. Collateral poster sessions will be also organized. Leading scientists and experts will conduct workshops and short courses.
    A comprehensive exhibition of laboratory equipment and reagents will give an ideal opportunity for productive interaction between laboratory professionals and suppliers of commercial products. Industry-sponsored satellite symposia will also be organized.
    We can guarantee that we will do our best to present to you a most enjoyable and exciting Conference. We are confident that you will enjoy memorable days discovering more a bout laboratory medicine as well as the spirit of Iaşi.
